Highland Council’s decision to refuse an application for 10 short-term housing lets in a prime residential area of Inverness is to be reviewed under appeal next week.
More than 90 objections about Ardonnel Terrace plansThere were 91 objections to the new short-term lets on grounds of traffic issues, loss of residential character and worsening the housing problem in Inverness.
Officials concluded that the plans were not compatible with the residential character of Ardconnel Terrace.
Crown and City Centre community council has recently added further clarification to its original objections to the D C Properties proposal, detailing the residential character of the neighbourhood.
“The community council sees this residential character expressed first-hand through the community orchard, community food cupboard, Play Streets, Jumble Trails, volunteer winter gritting, and the neighbourhood support networks established during the Covid-19 pandemic.
