(WCAX) - Family, friends and community members gathered on Friday to remember Shiloh Skalka, a 16-year-old killed in a Burlington crash last month. Skalka was hit by a minivan while riding her e-bike at the intersection of Pine and Locust streets on July 16. The driver, Douglas Knapp, faces a negligent operation with death resulting charge and is due in court later this month. When speaking with WCAX News recently, dad Christian Skalka remembered his daughter as a beautiful, brilliant and deeply compassionate person. The service on Friday was held at the First Congregational Church in Burlington.
