Winnipeg police say a Winnipeg transit operator is in hospital following an assault on a bus on Wednesday.
WPS says officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 1:18 a.m. on Aug. 5.
Police attended the scene and learned that a rider became disruptive after being asked to pay the fare and allegedly stabbed the driver before leaving the bus.
The driver was taken to hospital in stable condition with minor injuries.
