A targeted police operation in Tobago on Thursday resulted in the seizure of an illegal firearm, ammunition, narcotics and cash, with two people arrested in connection with the find. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, officers conducted the intelligence-led exercise at a property along Golden Grove Road, Canaan, as part of Operation Resolute Shield. Police said the team, led by PC Yorke, searched an apartment where they discovered a Glock 22 Austria .40 calibre pistol bearing the serial number 301076FC and marked “Fulton County, GA Police.” Officers also seized a 9mm pistol magazine containing 15 rounds of ammunition believed to be 9mm rounds, a .40 calibre magazine loaded with five rounds of .40 calibre ammunition and an additional 15 rounds of .40 calibre ammunition. Police arrested a 30-year-old geriatric nurse of Golden Grove Road, Canaan, and a 29-year-old man of the same address.
