Mission Hospital back in ‘substantial compliance’ with federal safety regulations

Six months after being threatened with the loss of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, Mission Hospital told employees that it is officially back in compliance with federal regulations.
The federal agency imposed the enhanced plan of correction following Mission Hospital’s fourth Immediate Jeopardy finding in January.
“This is an important milestone for Mission,” Lowe wrote.
Since being acquired by Nashville-based HCA Healthcare in 2019, the former well-regarded nonprofit was placed in Immediate Jeopardy on four occasions.
As part of the requirement for the enhanced plan of correction, Mission Hospital hired Bryant Healthcare Consultants.
