Justice, News August 7th, 2026Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP is investigating the cause of a collision between a passenger car and a commercial vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) early this morning. Just after 12:00 a.m. on August 6, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP responded to a collision on the TCH near the weigh scales. The collision involved a transport truck and a small passenger car. The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The transport truck driver, a 22-year-old Ontario man, was ticketed under the Newfoundland and Labrador Highway Traffic Act for driving without due care and attention.
