Ben Veitch and Quinn Norman, standout players with the hometown Newfoundland Regiment, are wearing the Maple Leaf today as Canada battles Finland in the semifinal of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Both have quickly become important pieces of the Newfoundland Regiment in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. The Hlinka Gretzky Cup has been producing hockey stars for decades. It was later renamed the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, honouring two legends of the game – Czech hockey icon Ivan Hlinka and NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.
