Provincetown and its seaside beauty are the icing on the cake, as some would say, for a new Anthony Bourdain biopic set to debut soon. According to a Boston Globe report, Dominic Sessa of The Holdovers fame plays the young Bourdain. In his book Kitchen Confidential, Bourdain recounts his time in Provincetown as a “golden time,” comprised of drinking, partying, and unpredictable restaurant work hours. Director Matt Johnson told the Globe he had never heard of Provincetown before getting involved in the production. Because the original restaurant where Bourdain first worked, Flagship, is no longer in business, certain scenes were filmed at Gina's by the Sea in Dennis.
