The band's earliest recordings from their Earth era, their original band name, will see release after a rights dispute ended in 2025. These demos were recorded in 1969 at Zella Studios in Birmingham, months before the group changed its name. "It's weird when you hear stuff from so long ago, and all these things crop up that you forgot about." The sessions featured Ozzy Osbourne on vocals, Iommi on guitar, Geezer Butler on bass, and Bill Ward on drums. Jim Simpson, the band's first manager, announced plans in June 2025 to release the recordings as The Legendary Lost 1969 Tapes with a July target date.
