So there I was, just casually browsing Metacritic today to see what the latest rankings are for the "Best Games This Year", and it turns out there's a new champion - a little game called Sektori that I'd never heard of before. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that Sektori is already available for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and it was actually released back at the end of the last year. The reason it's one of the "Best Games This Year" is because it just recently released for Nintendo Switch 2, and it has an average review score of 94 (!) What's even more intriguing is that Sektori is getting tons of comparisons to the classic Xbox game Geometry Wars. Our sister site, Nintendo Life, even claims that it surpasses the peak that was Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2.
