The rising Columbia sophomore and Ivy League golfer competed in her second U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship this week at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee. In an interview last week, Xu said she wasn’t bothered by the 126th U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship being played on a course unfamiliar to her. She qualified for the tournament in June, when she tied for third with a 68 at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Qualifiers at Redlands Country Club. Two years prior she won the U.S. Women’s Amateur Qualifiers on the same course with a 67, which qualified her to compete in the 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
