A Fordland man died Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 65 in Hickory County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred at 12:54 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, in Cross Timbers on Highway 65. According to the patrol, a northbound 2011 Chevrolet Impala traveled off the roadway and struck a culvert. The 32-year-old driver from Fordland, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:55 p.m. by the Hickory County Coroner. The Chevrolet Impala was destroyed and was towed by Stauffer Towing and Recovery of Urbana.
