I suppose when I’m going to training, that’s nearly like a breather. McCormick has long been managing playing with scoliosis, a painful condition where the spine twists and curves to the side. I don’t know if that’s going to be in one year or if it’s going to be in the next five. But I don’t think people realise how much the mental skills come into it as well, and being able to carry yourself through a game, no matter how good or bad you’re playing.
