The government has decided to strengthen its emergency response system during the ongoing monsoon season by establishing a dedicated Flood Emergency Call Center for Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan. The facility has been set up to improve emergency communication and ensure a faster response during heavy rainfall and flood-related incidents. Government Strengthens Monsoon Emergency Response with Dedicated Call CenterUnder the new arrangement, residents of Islamabad, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan can dial 911 in case of any flood or weather-related emergency. All emergency calls received during the monsoon season will be routed to the NTC Call Center, which has been assigned the responsibility of managing the Flood Emergency Call Center. By centralizing emergency calls through the dedicated Flood Emergency Call Center, the government hopes to provide a more efficient communication system and strengthen its response to flood-related situations across Islamabad, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
