Jaylen Lewis is a prime example of the Tops’ success in retaining some productive players off last season’s squad. Lewis, who started his career at Arkansas and moved on to Temple for a season before landing with the Tops, instead opted to stay. Moving on to Temple for the 2024 season, Lewis developed into a steady contributor in 11 games (six starts) for the Owls. Last season, the Tops finished second in CUSA in scoring defense at just 22.85 points allowed per game. “I’d say we’ve got a lot of sneaky pieces on the team,” Lewis said.
