The Atlanta Falcons have made wholesale changes to both their roster and the coaching staff this offseason, led by the hiring of Kevin Stefanski and the return of Matt Ryan as President of Football. Now, despite losing Jalon Walker to an ACL tear for the 2026 season, the Falcons have now released linebacker Troy Andersen. The move comes after Andersen opened the 2026 training camp on the PUP list, with the Falcons determining he was still not healthy enough to practice. Although Atlanta restructured his contract during the offseason, he once again reported to 2026 training camp on the active/PUP list. As a rookie in 2022, Andersen appeared in 17 games and finished with 69 tackles and three tackles for loss.
