Last week, the FTC filed a lawsuit against telehealth company Hims & Hers for allegedly disclosing private health information to third parties and engaging in shady subscription practices. Another January 2026 complaint from a man in Washington who got a surprise withdrawal for a Hims subscription he didn’t want explains, “I don’t have any extra money and needed that money for my rent.” Still another user in New York complained that the surprise subscription charge had caused their checking account to be overdrawn by $235. I filed a dispute with both my credit card company and the BBB on or about October 2, 2025. I also researched and saw that the FTC was investigating Hims regarding account and cancellation subscription policies and continued billing after cancelling.
