Fruit Trucks Get Priority On NH-44: CM OmarSrinagar- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday said fruit-laden trucks from Kashmir and petroleum tankers from Jammu are being given priority on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) to ensure uninterrupted transportation of horticultural produce and essential supplies despite disruptions caused by recent heavy rains.
Petroleum tankers coming from Jammu are also being accorded priority to ensure that there is no shortage of essential supplies,” he said.
During the visit, Abdullah was accompanied by Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dheeraj Gupta, senior NHAI officials, Traffic Police officers and other concerned officials.
Omar said Project Phoenix would complement the government’s Mission YUVA initiative by strengthening market access, mentorship and incubation support for startups, artisans, self-help groups and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The Chief Minister said the Centre of Excellence and Project Phoenix marked an important step towards leveraging emerging technologies for inclusive development and improving governance across Jammu and Kashmir.
