Four Injured, FCT-IRS Building Damaged In Petrol Station Fire

Four persons were injured and part of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) building was damaged after a petrol tanker caught fire on Friday while discharging fuel at AYM Shafa Filling Station in Area 3, Garki, Abuja.
THE WHISTLER had earlier reported that the fire broke out at the filling station beside the FCT-IRS office along Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti Way.
They were immediately evacuated by a National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) ambulance to a nearby hospital for medical attention and have since been discharged.
Meanwhile, the Federal Fire Service said an investigation has commenced to determine both the immediate and remote causes of the fire.
It reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives and property through prompt, professional and coordinated emergency response across the country.
