Women’s Mental Health Seminar Organised in Bhopal

BHOPAL: The Madhya Pradesh Police, in partnership with MEET Organisation and the Nirbhaya Foundation, organised a one-day seminar on the impact of sexual harassment on women’s mental health and careers at Anand Vihar College for Women in Bhopal.
The awareness programme educated students about women’s safety, mental health, legal rights, cyber safety and the consequences of sexual harassment on education and professional growth.
Dr Patel and Shrivas explained legal provisions relating to women’s safety and cybercrime, while Rekha Sridhar discussed the psychological and social impact of sexual harassment.
Samar Khan highlighted the effects of domestic violence on women’s mental health and careers, and Mekhla Srivastava stressed the importance of awareness and confidence.
The programme, coordinated by NSS Programme Officer Dr Anupama Pandey, concluded with participants taking a pledge to promote women’s dignity, gender equality, mental well-being and a safe educational environment.
