NEW DELHI: The United States now supplies around 67% of India’s liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports, marking a significant shift in the country’s energy sourcing strategy, according to media reports.
“Today I’m happy to inform you that the United States accounts for something like 67% of our LPG imports,” the minister said.
According to media reports, the sharp increase highlights a major transformation in India’s LPG import basket, with the US emerging as the country’s largest supplier.
