Saraswati Gao, NET Correspondent, Arunachal PradeshA search and rescue operation is underway in the Jhalukbari River after a man was swept away while trying to cross the river on Wednesday evening. According to officials, a verbal alert was received from the DDMO, Tezu at around 5:15 PM regarding the drowning incident. Following this, an SDRF (Search & Rescue) team was immediately mobilized and reached the incident site at around 6:15 PM. Preliminary information suggests that two people were trying to guide a cow across the Jhalukbari River. While one person turned back after seeing the strong current, the other attempted to cross alone and was swept away.
