Arunachal: CM Pema Khandu Launches Artisan Data Bank, Honours Weavers On National Handloom Day

Saraswati Gao, NET Correspondent, Arunachal PradeshOn the occasion of 12th National Handloom Day Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday launched the Department of Textiles & Handicrafts, Government of Arunachal Pradesh’s official website and the Artisan Data Bank.
Marking it a day of recognition and new beginnings for the state’s handloom and handicraft sector.
SAMARTH certificates and Yarn Pass Books were distributed to craftspeople to support and empower them.
The Chief Minister said the celebration was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the talent, dedication, and contribution of those keeping Arunachal’s handloom and handicraft traditions alive.
The new digital initiatives and support measures aim to connect artisans with modern markets and preserve the state’s rich weaving heritage.
