The former Republican presidential candidate was scheduled to speak for about 30 minutes but left the stage after roughly 14 minutes as audience members repeatedly interrupted him with boos and heckling. At one point, Ramaswamy dismissed the interruptions, telling a heckler, “You want to give a speech? Ramaswamy received applause when he praised capitalism, calling it “the best system known to man to lift people up from poverty.” One attendee shouted profanities at him, and Ramaswamy ended his remarks shortly afterward, leaving the stage to another round of boos.
