As a 3-year-old, lifeguard Trinity Campbell remembers having a near drowning experience when she ventured into deep water at a camp pool. A lifeguard had seen Campbell going under and came to her rescue. “We have had enough lifeguards to adequately cover pool activities, swim lessons, pool parties and scheduled programs this summer. “Good lifeguards are professional, dependable, communicate effectively with patrons and staff and consistently follow facility policies and safety procedures. “Learning to swim at an early age is one of the most effective ways to help prevent drowning and build lifelong water safety and survival skills,” Etheridge said.
