Wilson County 4-H members returned home with numerous honors and accomplishments from July’s 2026 North Carolina 4-H Congress, the annual statewide meeting of North Carolina 4-H held in Raleigh. One of the week’s recognitions was the induction of Eli Kicklighter, Jacob Thomason and Kaylee Whiteside into the North Carolina 4-H Honor Club. Several Wilson County youth were recognized with North Carolina 4-H scholarships. Caleb Heath renewed the Gary Stott 4-H Scholarship, Edward Gore General Hugh Shelton 4-H Leadership Scholarship and the W.L. Braxton Barnette and Kaylee Whiteside also competed and represented Wilson County 4-H at the state level.
