Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has received the outgoing Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Ghana, Mariana Gonçalves Madeira, and commended her for her contributions toward strengthening relations between the two countries. During a farewell meeting, the Vice President, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, the Government and people of Ghana, expressed appreciation to Ambassador Madeira for her service and efforts in deepening Ghana-Brazil cooperation during her tenure. Ambassador Madeira reflected on the progress Ghana has made and praised the efforts of President Mahama’s administration to strengthen the country’s economy. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in sectors including agriculture and agribusiness, energy, security and defence, trade, and social development. She wished the outgoing ambassador well in her future diplomatic endeavours and expressed Ghana’s commitment to working with her successor to maintain the momentum in Ghana-Brazil relations.
