The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has reported 53 deaths during rain-related incidents during this monsoon. According to the latest report unveiled by PDMA on Friday, 322 people were injured across Punjab so far this season. It report stated that the provincial government has directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for those injured in rain-related accidents. According to the fact sheet, widespread rainfall was recorded in several districts over the past 24 hours. Despite the downpours, PDMA said rainwater was drained quickly due to advance planning, the availability of machinery and coordinated efforts led by the Punjab government.
