VERO BEACH — The Indian River Community Foundation has awarded a $25,000 grant to the Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast’s Mobile Health Clinic to support its ongoing work bringing primary care and screenings to residents who face barriers to traditional medical settings. The check was presented July 28 at a ceremony that included representatives from the foundation, VNA leadership, Mobile Health Clinic staff and the VNA & Hospice Foundation. “We are so grateful for this generous donation and the partnership we have with the Indian River Community Foundation,” said Michael McGee, board chair of the VNA & Hospice Foundation. Jeffrey Pickering, president and CEO of the Indian River Community Foundation, said the grant fits the organization’s goal of a healthy community. VNA of the Treasure Coast, a nonprofit that has served the area for more than 50 years, provides home health care, hospice services and the mobile clinic.
