Ground Control and Inspire appointed for £4.1M Wales and Western civils examinations

Network Rail has appointed Ground Control and Inspire (Structures) to deliver more than £4.1M of civils examinations under its Wales and Western Civils Examination Framework Agreement (CEFA) – Structures.
The two direct call-off contracts, awarded on 23 July, cover structural and tunnel examinations that support the inspection of railway infrastructure across the framework.
Inspire (Structures) has secured the £450,000 Lot 1 Tunnels W&W Call Off Framework Year 1 contract.
Ground Control has been awarded the £3,659,071 Lot 2 Wales Only CEFA Structures Examinations – Framework Year 1 contract.
According to the contract award notice, civils examinations involve the inspection, examination and reporting of structural assets to ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of railway infrastructure.
