The blockage is taking place during this Friday's morning rush hour after a train struck a tree, forcing trains to run at reduced speed on all lines in the affected area.
As a result, services were delayed by up to 30 minutes or subject to alteration.
Great Western Railway (GWR), the operator for the route, said disruption was expected until 8am.
A spokesperson for GWR said: "A train has struck a tree.
GWR also assured customers that they would not be left stranded if they missed the last train due to delays or cancellations.
