The Tipperary Senior All Ireland winning camogie team from 2001 are to be honoured at Sunday’s Camogie finals in Croke Park. The Tipperary team on the day was captained by Emily Hayden from Cashel and in winning in 2001 they completed a three in a row. Tipperary would go on the win again in 2003 and 2004 – the most recent Senior Title win for the Premier county. The win in 2001 was a double All Ireland success on the day as the Tipperary junior team won their All Ireland title on the same day in what was the most successful era for Tipperary camogie. Tipperary were defeated in the senior semi final this year by Cork who will take on the reigning All Ireland Champions Galway in Sunday’s senior Final which throws in at 4.15pm.
