If you want to point to the electric car that catalysed this retro trend, look no further than the Renault 5 E-Tech. And it's become so popular that it's the only electric car to have formed a waiting list. The Twingo EV shares the Mk1 car's headlight shape and the three-slot air vent in the bonnet. It will be closer in size to the Renault Twingo E-Tech than the Renault 5, with the Twingo measuring 3.8m long, and it is expected to undercut the Twingo's £17,000 price tag.
