The emergency services are currently responding to the incident and train services between Newport and Hereford will be delayed or cancelled in both directions. A spokesman for Transport for Wales said: "A person has been hit by a train between Newport and Cwmbran. These included the X24 between Newport and Pontypool via Cwmbran, the 21 and X3 between Pontypool and Cwmbran, and the 23 between Cwmbran and Hereford via Abergavenny. Additional accepted routes included the X3 between Cardiff, Pontypool, and Cwmbran, and the 11 between Cwmbran and Pontypool. Newport and Cardiff Bus also accepted rail tickets on the 30 and X30 services between Cardiff and Newport.
