How a teen helped to raise funds for the restoration of a venue 20 years ago

Fifteen-year-old Geraint King coordinated the event, known as The Big Bell, which involved six local churches and attracted around 40 ringers from across South Wales.
The marathon took place between 1pm and 7pm, culminating in an appeal dedicated to miners and the construction of Newbridge Memorial Hall.
This year was one of our biggest events and I organised it because I wanted to support the Memo."
He added: "It is a great team activity and an opportunity to see people you don’t normally see throughout the year."
In addition to the bell-ringing, there was an exhibition on bells and bell-ringing at the Memo.
