Three independent candidates are competing for a vacant seat representing Hazlemere North on Hazlemere Parish Council. The contest comes shortly after voters in Hazlemere South went to the polls in another parish council by-election on July 9. Mr Gough will contest his second Hazlemere parish council by-election in little more than a month after standing in the Hazlemere South vote. The official statement of candidates lists Mr Chauhan as living in Hazlemere, while Mr Cowen and Mr Gough have both given addresses within Buckinghamshire. Mr Gough also promised to promote transparent and accountable spending by the parish council, with investment directed towards services and projects benefiting the whole community.
