Queensland Country Tourism (QCT) has appointed respected tourism public relations specialist, Rebecca Astier, further strengthening the organisation’s ability to tell the stories of Queensland Country and elevate the profile of its diverse destinations across Australia. With more than 20 years’ experience in tourism, hospitality and destination communications, Rebecca joins Queensland Country Tourism as PR Lead under the banner of her consultancy, Glasshouse Communications. Her appointment comes as Queensland Country Tourism continues to build momentum through destination marketing, industry partnerships and advocacy, showcasing the people, places and experiences that make Queensland Country one of Australia’s most rewarding regional destinations. Queensland Country Tourism Chief Executive Officer Sally Scott said the appointment reflects the organisation’s renewed commitment to elevating the profile of Queensland Country through strategic storytelling and meaningful media engagement.
