A 44-year-old Norwegian man has been found living homeless in Nonthaburi, Thailand, after reportedly losing his passport and other personal documents and becoming unable to return to Norway.
The man, identified by Thai media as Odd Stian Hesseberg, told reporters that he arrived in Thailand about two and a half years ago to meet a female friend in Nakhon Sawan.
Temple staff said they previously helped arrange transport for him to contact the Norwegian Embassy, but he later returned to the area.
Thai authorities have reportedly been contacted to check his immigration status and coordinate possible assistance with the Norwegian Embassy.
His visa has expired, according to Thai media reports.
