Mississippi deputies arrested a 43-year-old man who reportedly attacked them with a sword after a two-hour standoff. Upon arrival, Lankford barricaded himself inside a bedroom and refused to negotiate with deputies. At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers breached the bedroom door, where Lankford immediately attacked officers with a 40.5-inch sword featuring a 27.5-inch blade. Officers fended off the attack and deployed a taser to subdue Lankford. Lankford was taken into custody and charged with making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct.
