The Environment Agency has said the area around the tidal River Yare is likely to flood from 5.45am on Sunday. The areas most at risk are Cantley, Brundall and Reedham – but Ferry Road in Reedham, the A47 and the railway line between Reedham and Brundall could also be affected. The government body has explained this is due to tidal water moving up the rivers from Great Yarmouth. Less severe flood alerts are also in place on the coast at Great Yarmouth and Hunstanton, on the Norfolk Broads between Thorpe St Andrew and Breydon Water and around the Rivers Bure, Ant and Thurne.
