LANSING, Mich. — A cold front will sweep through the area during the first half of today, and could produce some additional isolated storms before lunchtime. From there, skies will clear for the afternoon as a westerly wind takes over at 10-15 mph. It will also be a much more comfortable afternoon, with a wedge of drier air knocking humidity levels down significantly. Paired with heavy rainfall, we could also see some severe wind gusts with early next week's round of storms. We could finally see the end of this wet period late next week.
