Probation search leads to arrest of Seymour man

A Seymour man was arrested this week after a probation search uncovered drugs at his residence.
According to Seymour Police Department, officers from the narcotics and detective division assisted Jackson County Probation Department officers with a search in the 200 block of South Park Street Tuesday morning.
After methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found, a search warrant was issued and the home was thoroughly searched.
Officers found more than 400 grams of meth, worth more than $3,000 on the street.
38-year-old Thomas Murray of Seymour was arrested on preliminary charges of dealing in and possessing the methamphetamine and for possessing drug paraphernalia, as well as maintaining a common nuisance.
