The railway has announced it is "delighted" at the return of limited steam services following discussions with the Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service. It comes after the steam trains were suspended in July as a precautionary measure due to the ongoing heatwave. Trains will now once again run between Sheringham and Weybourne from tomorrow (August 8). A spokesman for North Norfolk Railway said: "By limiting steam trains to the Sheringham-Weybourne section, we will continue to protect the vulnerable Kelling Heath and avoid Kelling Bank where locomotives have to work hard which can increase the chances of emitting sparks. "This, along with our existing fire mitigation measures and ongoing reviews, means we can reintroduce steam whilst continue to support NFRS at this time."
