Following investigations, the agency confirmed that Menofix Capsules has never been registered by NAFDAC and is therefore not authorised for sale, distribution or use in Nigeria. The regulator also cautioned consumers not to confuse the unregistered product with two legitimately approved products bearing similar names — Menofix Herbal Capsule (NAFDAC Registration No. NAFDAC said it has directed all its zonal directors and state coordinators to step up surveillance and immediately remove the unregistered product from circulation wherever it is found. It also advised anyone in possession of Menofix Capsules to discontinue its use and submit any remaining stock to the nearest NAFDAC office. The latest alert forms part of NAFDAC’s ongoing campaign to eliminate unregistered and potentially harmful medicines from the Nigerian market and safeguard public health.
