Hyderabad: Telangana is placing the plastics and polymers sector at the centre of its next manufacturing push, said Telangana minister for IT, Electronics and Communications D Sridhar Babu. Speaking at the inauguration of HIPLEX 2026, Minister Sridhar Babu called on global and domestic stakeholders to help transform the state into a premier regional hub for polymer processing and sustainable materials. South’s largest plastics trade expoOrganised by the Telangana and Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAAPMA), the four-day international event stands as South and Central India’s largest plastics trade expo and the third-largest nationwide. “The future belongs to industries that innovate responsibly, embrace sustainability, and adopt green manufacturing practices,” Sridhar Babu told an audience of more than 500 industry executives, investors, and entrepreneurs. “We now want to replicate our success in IT, pharmaceuticals, and aerospace within the plastics and polymers sector.
