The Office for Product Safety and Standards has warned consumers who possess the affected FreshWipes Intimate Unscented Wipes to cease using them without delay.
The product safety body identified that certain batches may harbour harmful microbiological agents, potentially triggering adverse skin reactions in users.
FreshWipes has initiated the recall directly from end users, with the OPSS stating: "Consumers in possession of an affected batch should stop using the product immediately."
The affected lot numbers are LOT 0926 and LOT 0515.
The OPSS explained the root cause of the contamination risk, stating: "It has been identified that affected batches may be microbiologically contaminated, with the preservative system not performing as required."
