During the delivery of financing to businesses and entrepreneurs in La Guaira state, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, affirmed that this state must become a hub for logistics and tourism development to fully get a hold of its potentialities. President Rodríguez urged the creation of a Master Recovery Plan for La Guaira, «one that overcomes the psychological impact left on the affected communities by the natural disasters of 1999 and this year,» so that the people can be optimistic about their immediate future. “I ordered the Vice President for Public Works and Services to restore the beaches, since La Guaira is a tourist state and the Master Plan will focus on developing the great tourism and logistics potential this state has,” manifested the National Dignitary. She acknowledged the strength demonstrated by the Venezuelan people in the face of the difficulties the country has faced and emphasized that Venezuela remains standing, firm, and with a will to advance. Finally, the president remarked, “Many Venezuelans lost their homes, but they kept smiling,” while reiterating her solidarity with the affected families throughout the country and reminding them that the Venezuelan people has always risen to the challenge.
