The closure, due to telecom works, will begin on August 17 at 9.30am and will affect Ilkley Road from its junction with Silsden Lane to a point outside Upwood Hall Farm, and Silsden Road from its junction with Ilkley Road to the entrance to High Trees Barn. The closure will be lifted at 3.30pm on the same day, but could extend up to 18 months if necessary. The City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council has stated that alternative routes for vehicles affected will be available for Silsden Road, but there will be no alternative routes for Ilkley Road. This closure is part of a temporary prohibition of traffic order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
