Janet Finch-Saunders, MS for Bangor Conwy Môn, agreed that it is essential that "we champion the Welsh language" but argued that the "focus of the Welsh Government should instead be on tackling the challenges facing the Welsh NHS." She added: "Of course we should celebrate and promote the Welsh language, and I welcome efforts to see it reach audiences across the world. "Not only that but this project is supporting young Welsh talent and production in Wales. A Plaid Cymru spokesperson also responded: “Plaid Cymru is proud to invest in the Welsh language and our culture. “We have never before had a translation of Star Wars into Welsh and I am so thankful that in celebration of our 50th anniversary we have been able to work with some incredible Welsh talent to make that a reality.
