KENOSHA — A former substitute teacher at Bradford High School has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to sending explicit sexual messages to a then-15-year-old male student. The case came to light in October 2024 when the student confided in his assistant principal at Bradford High School, who then alerted a school resource officer. Poyner was also a substitute teacher at West Allis-West Milwaukee and Nicolet Union High School at the time. "When they are teachers or substitute teachers, principals, and they are taking advantage of our children."
